Where are you based?
I live in the Hunter Valley, NSW Australia.
Are you able to travel interstate/overseas?
Yes of course! I love travel and my passport is ready to go!
Do you charge for travel?
I charge for travel if your wedding is outside the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region, contact me with your wedding location and I can let you know what it will cost for travel.
How do we book you?
Very easily. Send me an email and see if your wedding date is still available. Also include the wedding location and number of hours you would like photography. I’ll send you a personalised quote and if you are happy with it, then I will send you out a deposit invoice and a contract to sign. Once you have signed and returned the quote and paid the deposit, then your date will be locked in.
How much is the deposit? is it refundable and how quick will I have to pay it?
It is advisable to pay the deposit as soon as you make your final decision. This deposit secures the date for your booking. The deposit is $100 and is non refundable.
How long are your quotes valid?
My quotes are valid for 4 weeks from date of issue, and the price I quote can only be secured once you have paid the $100 deposit. If this has not yet been paid, my prices are subject to change so it is best for you to secure your deposit as soon as you have made your final decision.
Can we meet you before the big day?
Absolutely. I really enjoy meeting clients before their wedding, it gives you a chance to meet and get to know a little about me and we can chat about photography for your wedding day. If that is not possible because of distance, then Skype or a phone call is another option.
Are you insured?
Yes. I am fully insured (equipment and public liability) and am first aid certified so you can rest easy on your big day knowing that you are in good hands in the extremely unlikely event something were to happen.
Do you shoot with a second photographer? Or do you ever have an assistant?
I don’t have a second shooter unless a client specifically requests it. A second shooter is available for most weddings at a separate fee. I sometimes use an assistant, but I will notify you before bringing anyone to your wedding.
How many photos will we receive?
I average around 100 photos an hour, plus I aim to edit the 10 best images from each hour, which you will receive on the USB. So it largely depends on how long you want to book me for your wedding.
When will I get my USB?
I aim to edit and process your images as soon as possible so you are not left waiting a long time to see your precious images. Processing time is usually around 2 weeks, but during busier times it may be a bit longer. I always maintain communication during this time so you know when to expect the delivery of your USB.
Do you offer wedding albums?
I do! I offer a variety of albums depending on your budget. Anything from small “brag books” to large, professionally printed and bound albums. I also do prints that vary in size. Feel free to chat with me about it.
Do you photograph same sex commitment ceremonies?
While marriages between same sex couples are not yet legal in Australia, same-sex couples can have a commitment ceremony. I am available to photograph such events in much the same way as any wedding I book, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about this. I believe that every person regardless of gender or religion is entitled to publicly declare their love in a ceremony.
